Boo…
Just realised I still haven’t bothered tweaking things again like the date format so it isn’t Merkinised since I bothered to upgrade Wordpress that runs this place. I’ll bother to some time cause it annoys me!
So I’ve not posted much recently? Well there’s been a few changes. I now live on my own (well house share). Lovely live in land lady, a very cool cat called Charlie, and an insurance broker who I have not had much of a chance to get to know yet. Another bonus is that it’s only a 15 minute walk (that’s at my slow wandering walk rate!) from work
Woke up at about 8am this morning. No need to panic! I left my phone which the alarm goes on, on silent. Doh! Nice change from waking up about 6.10am and out with in about 30 mins for 7am train. Hell of a lot cheaper too. Woo. Moneh! Jan (land lady) seems happy. First night here and I fixed her PC and Internet that have never worked properly. Me, go with out the Internet?
Always said I’m quiet, country side kind of person. So why am I now living next to the Central (London Underground) line where I can be right in the centre of london in barely 20 mins?
Well Epping Forest is just up the road! On a more serious note though, it is brilliant to finally have a job I love to bits and to work for a company who really appreciate you. It rocks. Also, I think there’s a lot of diversity around London which is interesting. I would have said Nottingham is diverse… If you think that, you haven’t walked through Campden Town and the such have you?!
Being single? Yes. Love it. My own life. After what must be of nearly 7 years of being “tied” to some one (ok 2 people - froggie 6 years and Karl 9 months). Learnt a lot. Not wasted time at all, very good life learning experiences. Time to learn some different ones though. The main challenge being making friends in a completely alien area I think. Well the one sticking in my mind most. Got lots of friends already on the list to come visit at the weekends though.
Need to get the back wheel on my (push) bike straightened or replaced. Would literally take minutes to get to work and keep me a lot more fit!
Also transport for exploring since I no longer have a car (and don’t regret it). Motorbike that’s been sat up in Nottingham is finally sold too.
Enough for you for now. Sure I’ll be writing a lot more now I have a lot more me time. Next post will probably be on the kick ass new computer I have planned.
